Accept an invitation

If your firm uses WebCenter, an administrator there will send you an invitation by email. Accepting the invitation creates your account at that firm.

What you'll receive

An email with subject like "You've been invited to WebCenter", sent from the WebCenter notification address. The email contains:

  • Who invited you and to which firm
  • A button or link to accept the invitation
  • An expiration date — invitations are typically valid for 7 days

If you don't see the email, check your spam, junk, and promotions folders. If it's truly missing, ask the admin who invited you to resend it (they can do this from their Admin → Employees → Invitations screen).

What you'll do

  1. Click the Accept invitation link in the email.
  2. WebCenter shows you the firm name, the role you've been assigned, and your starting office and position.
  3. Choose how to handle your account:
    • Create a new account — Set a username and password (minimum 12 characters). This is what most first-time WebCenter users do.
    • Link to an existing account — If you already use WebCenter at another firm with the same email, you can log in with those credentials and switch between firms. See Working at multiple firms.
  4. Submit. You're signed in and dropped onto the dashboard at your new firm.

Username rules

If you're creating a new account:

  • 3–32 characters
  • Letters, numbers, dots, hyphens, underscores
  • Pick something stable — usernames don't change later

Password rules

  • Minimum 12 characters
  • No other complexity rules; use a passphrase if it's easier
  • See Forgot password if you ever need to reset

Token expired or already used

Invitation links are time-limited and single-use. If yours has expired or been used:

  • Expired — Ask the admin to resend the invitation. They'll see your name on the Invitations tab with a "Resend" button.
  • Already used — You're already in. Go to the login page and sign in with the username/password you set.
  • Revoked — If the admin revoked the invite (you'd see an explicit error page), they'll need to send a fresh one.
